We love the freshness the cooler 2019 vintage brings to its wines. 2019 was punctuated by sunlight and clear skies, which resulted in wines with juicy and vibrant fruit, crisp acidity, balanced alcohol levels and all with the freshness synonymous with BC wine.
This is a collector's dream vintage! We are confident our 2019s will benefit from time in your cellar. Decant to drink now, or cellar until 2027-2031 and allow your patience to be rewarded!
This box includes one of each of the following:
- 2019 Nostalgia Merlot - New Release!
The bold, bright nose of this seductive Merlot is the warmest welcome of our home vineyard, planted in 2006. Dark cherries, ripe plums, cocoa, caramel, baking spices and toasty oak complexity draw you in, and the wine pours over your palate with a round, rich intensity balanced by fresh acidity and firm tannins. This well structured Merlot will love hard, aged cheese. It also begs to be paired with a hearty protein dish, such as roast beef, or lamb.
- 2019 Nostalgia Family Collection Meritage
A Meritage for Cabernet Sauvignon lovers -- it's 60% Cab, accompanied by Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Attractive black currant, blackberry and cherry aromas waft from this generously fruited, luxuriously textured wine. Light florals, along with notes of licorice, sweet baking spice, vanilla and caramel lend further interest and linger persistently. Serve with a grilled T-Bone steak and crisp, butter-fried mushrooms, braised short ribs with savoury risotto, spiced beef tenderloin, or eggplant Parmesan.
- 2019 Nostalgia Family Collection Cabernet Sauvignon
From Family vineyards in Osoyoos, enjoy the intense notes of black currant, blackberry, cherry, violet and spice aromas that abound from this complex, harmonious wine. Appetizing acidity and a full texture create structure, while notes of small dark berry fruit, toasty oak, florals and herbs add intrigue and persist on the finish. It pairs perfectly with rib eye steak, wild game, mushroom pizza, or dark chocolate cake.
You might want to buy a few sets ... some for the table, and some for the cellar!
